Spotify Valence Trends

Study of valence — the musical-positivity measure of how happy or somber a track sounds — across 44,894 US tracks, 1960s through 2010s. Pulled with Spotipy, deduplicated, split into hits and flops by popularity, then banded happy vs. somber. Delivered as a Jupyter notebook and presentation.
